Noelle Harb Brundige

Noelle Harb Brundige is a soprano and voice teacher based in Knoxville, Tennessee, equally at home in opera, art song, and musical theater. She has performed with Knoxville Opera at the Rossini Festival, with chamber company Marble City Opera, and as a featured soloist with the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association, and she appeared in Leonard Bernstein’s Candide at the Clarence Brown Theatre with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra.

As a guest vocalist at the Tennessee Theatre’s Mighty Musical Monday, she sang with house organist Freddie Brabson and the Mighty Wurlitzer — a Knoxville institution. Her concert repertoire reaches from Rachmaninoff and Schoenberg to Whitacre, and she is also a pianist, often collaborating from the keyboard.

A Knoxville native and graduate of West High School, she earned her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina with a double major in vocal performance and English literature, then her Master of Music at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in the studio of soprano Marjorie Bennett Stephens — a mentorship the university has celebrated as a model of what teaching artistry can become. Before her master’s, she wrote the arts column for Knoxville’s Cityview magazine while performing with Marble City Opera and other companies.
